Game Pictures
On Sunday, Evansville Home Talent Team lost to Albion 6-1 in a
Southeast Section Home Talent Baseball game. Evansville scored the
first run of the game when Jerod Steindl reach base on an error.
With the Hit-and-Run sign on from Field Manager, Tony Manion, Nic
Larson hit a base hit in which Steindl was able to reach third base.
On Albion's throw to third in an effort to tag out Steindl, Larson
was able to advance to second base. Next batter, Jason Schultz,
hit a sacrifice fly to deep right field that scored Steindl.
After Schultz's sac-fly, Albion's pitching dominated over Evansville's
hitters by scattering only 5 more hits and striking out 10. Timely
hitting continues to plague the team. Evansville left a total of
8 runners on base for the game, 6 of which were in scoring position.
