Sunday League Standings 2011 Marquee GamesActive Military & Veterans Appreciation Night - In conjunction with the up coming Memorial Day weekend, the Evansville Jays would like to honor our active military personnel and veterans before and during the Thursday, May 26 game at Leota Park. Our distinguished guests will receive 50 cents off the normal price of drinks (beer, pop, sport drink, water). Come early as pre-game events are being planned. The game starts at 7:30 pm. More to come about on this game. Event on Facebook Memorial Day Day Game - Monday, May 30 Evansville will host Whitewater at the high school's Stan Sperry field starting at 1:00 pm. There will be a DJ announcing the game and color guard will be provided by local area Veterans. Dog Night - Thursday, June 2 The Jays are hosting "Bring Your Dog to a Baseball Game Night." Every owner that brings their dog to the game will receive a free dog. We will have treats available for the dogs that come. Please pick up your doggy do-dos. The game starts at 7:30 pm against Poynette. Our concession stand will be open for beer, pop, water, brats, hot dogs and burgers. Event on Facebook Youth Baseball Night - This has been a popular night with the kids for the past couple of years. On Thursday, June 9 young baseball fans are invited to enjoy a night at the Lake Leota ball park by obtaining autographs from your Home Talent players, chase down free foul balls, run the score board, and even play catch or warm up with the Jays. Kids who bring their glove to the game will get a free hot dog. Event on Facebook Festival Game - This year the Jays will be playing on Monday, July 4 at Lake Leota Park during the Fourth of July Festival celebration. Evansville will host Utica with a 6:00 pm game time start. Color guard will be provided by local area Veterans. This would be a good time to check out the Jays and enjoy the fireworks after the game. Appreciation Day Game - The Jays would like to thank their
sponsors, families and fans for supporting the team in 2011. After
the Sunday, July 24 game at Lake Leota Park enjoy a free picnic
with the team.
Games will be on Sundays (1:00 p.m. start) at the High School field and Thursday nights (7:30 p.m. start) at the Lake Leota Park. Spring training starts with scrimmage games and practices in April. The regular season runs from May into August with games on Memorial Day and July 4th. Opening Day is the first Sunday in May. We have concessions available at each of the home game with proceeds going back to the team. Volunteers are needed to help operate and manage our concession stand.
